OnlyScrums was founded by former players, lifelong fans, and storytellers who believe American rugby deserves more than box scores and highlight reels. It deserves a culture. A voice. A movement.

We are building a central hub for U.S. rugby: stories, stats, merch, events, voices, and connection. As our voice strengthens, we envision expanding that energy beyond these borders, one match, one fan, one moment at a time.

THE PLAYERS BEHIND THE PLATFORM

OnlyScrums was founded by three rugby veterans who understand the game from the inside out.

Chris Miller

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Chris Miller discovered rugby as a junior at Del Campo High School in Fair Oaks, California, and quickly emerged as a standout talent. He earned all-star honors with the Northern California Pelicans and was selected for the USA U19 All-American squad, traveling to Australia as part of the first American team to achieve a winning record overseas (4-1-1). Chris went on to become a five-year starter at Sacramento State University before advancing to the Super League with Olympic Club and finishing his playing career with the Sacramento Lions in Men's Division I. After retiring from competition, Chris turned his focus to coaching, leading programs at Sacramento State and Granite Bay High School and mentoring the next generation of players. Today, as CEO of OnlyScrums, he brings decades of on-field experience and leadership to the company, driving its vision to create the infrastructure and visibility U.S. rugby has long deserved.

Colin Hawley

Co-Founder & Chief Community Officer

Colin Hawley's rugby journey began at Jesuit High School in Sacramento and continued at the University of California, Berkeley, where he helped lead Cal to multiple national championships and earned All-American honors. In 2009, he made his debut with the USA Eagles and went on to represent the United States in both 15s and 7s formats, including the 2011 Rugby World Cup. As a professional athlete, Colin built his career on performance, leadership, and an unwavering belief in rugby's potential to grow in the United States. As Chief Community Officer of OnlyScrums, he now channels that same passion into connecting players, brands, and fans — building authentic relationships and a powerful ecosystem that unites the rugby community on and off the field.

Corey Grissom

Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Corey Grissom serves as Chief Strategy Officer at OnlyScrums, where he leads company growth and product development with a focus on uniting and elevating American rugby. A lifelong scrumhalf, Corey began his rugby journey as a high school sophomore before becoming a four-year starter and two-time captain at Murray State University Rugby Football Club. In 2007, he guided Murray State's return to the MidSouth Rugby Union, restoring its competitive pathway and strengthening the program's future. After college, Corey founded the Murray Bloodhounds RFC — a men's club built from both college and community players — expanding access to the game and growing rugby at the grassroots level. Today, Corey brings his strategic mindset and deep connection to the sport to OnlyScrums, where he focuses on scalable growth, community impact, and building an athlete-first platform designed to push U.S. rugby forward.

We started OnlyScrums because we believe American rugby deserves more — more visibility, more community, and more momentum. From our first matches on high school fields to representing the United States on the world stage, rugby has shaped who we are and how we think. That shared experience drives everything we build: a platform created by players, for players, fans, teams, and brands who want to see the sport grow. This isn't just about media — it's about building the foundation for rugby's future in America and beyond.
